Tips for saving energy
■
Install the appliance in a dry, well
ventilated room! The appliance should
not be installed in direct sunlight
or near a heat source (e.g. radiator,
cooker).
If required, use an insulating plate.
■
Do not block the ventilation openings
in the appliance.
■
To prevent the food from warming up
quickly in the event of a power failure
or malfunction, take ice packs from
the freezer tray and place them in
the top compartment directly on
the food.
■
Open the appliance as briefly as
possible!
The briefer the appliance door is
opened, the lower the ice formation on
the freezer shelves.
■
When thawing frozen products, place
them in the refrigerator. Use
the coldness of the frozen food
to cool food.
■
Regularly defrost the freezer
compartment to remove the layer of
frost!
A layer of hoarfrost will impair
refrigeration of the frozen food
and increase power consumption.
■
Occasionally clean
the rear of the appliance
with a vacuum cleaner or paint brush
to prevent an increased power
consumption.
