Shooting Film (Film Copy Mode)
You can use the film copying adapter (provided; see page 49) to take photos of images already on film.

Turn the Power dial to “
M
”.
•Hold the Lock button down while turning the
Power dial.

Select “FILM” with the MODE switch.
•“FILM” appears on the LCD panel.

Use the ZOOM lever to adjust the size of the
subject.
•The camera automatically enters macro
mode and the zoom range is restricted.
•Move the film holder left or right as needed
to adjust the image.

Press the DISPLAY button until the FILM
COPY SETTING screen appears.

button to select the film
copy setting.
•Press the

w
e
button repeatedly to cycle
through the following modes:
FRAME:
Selects the size of the picture.
QUALITY:
Selects the picture quality.
Q. REVIEW:
Selects whether to display the photographed
picture on the LCD.
FILM:
Selects either negative or positive.
PRO STILL:
Selects the photography mode.
W. BALANCE:
Sets the white balance in accordance with
the film.
SENS.:
Selects the film sensitivity.
CLEAR:
Returns to the default settings.

Set the light source behind the film copying
adapter.
•If using a fluorescent light (20 – 40 W) as
backlighting, set it about 10 – 20 cm behind
the film.
•If using natural light (40 – 100 W) as
backlighting, set it about 10 – 30 cm behind
the film.
•Be careful when using hot light sources for
long periods of time. Heat can easily damage
film and picture quality.
