L-2 SELECT/INPUT Setting
The

V2 (L-2) IN/DECODER
connector accepts either a composite signal (regular
video signal) or a Y/C signal (a signal in which the luminance and chrominance
signals are separated). Set
L-2 SELECT
to the appropriate mode depending on the
type of unit connected to the rear panel

to the appropriate mode depending on the output signals of
the connected unit.

. This setting will let you take advantage of higher-quality
S-VHS pictures. (For connection, be sure to use a 21-pin SCART
cable that is compatible with the Y/C signal.)

connector, leave

• The default setting is

; if the VCR’s memory backup has expired due to a
power cut or because the AC was removed from the VCR,
A/V
will be auto-
matically selected when the power is restored to the VCR. If you are using a
satellite receiver or a decoder, be sure to set
L-2 SELECT
back to appropriate
mode.
• When
L-2 SELECT

SAT
, ‘SAT’ appears on TV screen instead of ‘L-2’, or
on the display panel instead of ‘L2’.
