Adjustment of the optic fiber tip

Notch the optic fiber tip with the blade of the tool.

Bend the optic fiber tip at the notched location. It breaks at the notched location with a smooth,

perpendicular fracture surface.

  Notice

Press firmly but do not squeeze the optic fiber tip. Just a little notch is needed to achieve a
perfect result.

Check to see if the aiming beam projects a uniform circular pattern. To do this, aim the optic

fiber tip vertically at a white background located approx. 5 cm away.

If the aiming beam projects no pattern at all, adjust the aiming beam brightness or only an

uneven pattern, cut off another one to two millimeters.

 Warning

The aiming beam must not be aimed toward a person's eye. It comprises an intensive light
source even when set to a low power level. Always wear protective goggles.

Now you can bend the disposable tip with the bending tool to the angle that you need for best

handling.

 Warning

Do not move the optic fiber tip in the disposable tip after having bent the tip, risk of fiber
damage!

 Caution

The optic fiber tip may be damaged if it is seriously bent or improperly inserted inside the
handpiece.
