The percent remaining battery capacity is displayed in the bottom left bar of the UI. Battery
used is indicated as a teal and black bar, where teal is the amount used, and black is the
amount available. A summary of battery capacity is also shown at the top right of the UI.
Contour is configured to auto-shut-off when the capacity reaches 0%. A warning is issued
in the UI when the battery level reaches 39% and the bottom right bar turns from teal to
orange, to visually indicate there is an issue with the battery (Figure 20). This should allow
enough time to stop scanning, and either shut down Contour, plug Contour into an AC
power supply, or attach an external battery to Contour. If one of these actions is not taken,
the current scan may not be fully recoverable. The battery has safety shutoffs that are
sensitive, and it is best to
never run the battery fully down
. Recharge as soon as possible if
the battery level is below 30%. Failure to do so may cause a safety circuit on the battery to
disable charging/discharging. If this condition occurs, please contact Kaarta or your Kaarta
distributor for assistance recharging the battery above the safety cutoff. For more
information about Contour battery usage and best practices, see Battery Usage on page
84.
