Drilling the fastening holes with the drilling template
7. Position the drill jig on the other side of the door and repeat points 5 and 6.
8. Remove the lock and clean the mortise.
9. Check the lock for damage and refit it.
Preparing the door
1. Remove the existing furniture.

2. Insert the appropriate spindle into
the lock.
3. Position the drilling template over
the spindle (8mm) and align it
exactly parallel to the forend.
4. Mark the fastening holes.

5. Remove the lock.
6. Drill the upper fastening hole
using a 13mm drill bit.
7. Drill the lower and middle
fastening holes using a 9mm drill
bit.
8. After drilling, clean the mortise
and refit the lock.
To prevent the bore holes breaking out, it is advisable to mark and drill the holes
from both sides!
