6. Switch on the «Controller ON/OFF» key.
The fuel pump runs and air is bled out of the fuel system.
7. After approx. 20 seconds switch off the «Controller ON/OFF» switch.
8. Open the right-hand access door.
9. Close the bleed screw at the filter head.
10. Remove the receptacle.
11. Close the door.
Start the engine as soon as the fuel system has been bled and allow to run for at least 5 mi‐
nutes in IDLE.
12. Open the right-hand access door.
13. Visually check the fuel system for leaks. If required, re-tighten all fittings.
14. Close the door.
10.4.3.2 Fuel pre-filter maintenance
Empty the fuel water separator:
The fuel pre-filter is equipped with an integrated water trap. Contaminants in the water are trapped
in the water receptacle of the filter cartridge.
The water trap is connected by a sensor to the controller. If the water in the trap reaches a set lev‐
el, the controller displays a warning.
The display indicates water in the fuel filter by returning
Fuel filter water level.
The water trap must be emptied when this warning is given.
