Tensioning the fan drive belt:
1. Loosen the tensioning frame securing screw and clamping screw.
2. Use a suitable tool to pull the tensioning frame at its eye outward until the belt is tensioned.
3. Re-tighten the securing screw and clamping screw.
4. Check the belt tension (see Fig. 55, II).
Belt tension too low: Pull the eye further outward.
Belt tension too high: Slightly turn the tensioning frame inward.
Tensioning the alternator drive belt:
The drive belt is tensioned via the screw fastening of the alternator.
1. Loosen the securing screws of the alternator.
2. Use the setting screw to move the alternator outward (⃕+) until the drive belt is tensioned.
3. Tighten the securing screws.
