Chapter 12
System Maintenance
The system maintenance should be performed by the user and service engineer. Users shall be in full
charge of maintenance and operation of the system after purchasing the product.
12.1 Maintenance by users
12.1.1 System cleaning and disinfection
1. Clean the equipment
(1) Must wear sterilized gloves to prevent possible infection.
(2) Rinse the probe with water or soapy water to remove all contaminants. Do not use brushes as it
may damage the probe.
(3) After finishing the rinsing, use a sterilized cloth or gauze to wipe the water on the probe. Do not
dry the probe by heating it.
2. Disinfect the equipment
(1) Routine disinfection must wear sterilized gloves to prevent possible infection;
(2) Clean the probe before routine disinfection, and then use 75% alcohol solution to wipe the
probe twice;
(3) Use sterile water to rinse the remaining chemical on the probe;
(4) Use a sterilized cloth or gauze to wipe the water on the surface of probe. Do not dry the probe
by heating it.
Warning
: Turn off the equipment before cleaning. Cleaning in the power-on may cause the
equipment to be damaged.
Warning
:
The waterproof grade of the equipment is IPX4 (no adverse effect on
splashing water in all directions). Do not splash any water or liquor into the equipment
when cleaning or maintaining; otherwise it will cause malfunction.
Attention
:
1. To prevent possible infection, it is advisable to wear sterilized gloves when cleaning,
disinfecting the equipment.
2. In the process of cleaning and disinfection, avoid probe overheat (exceeding 60
℃
) as it
may be deformed or damaged under excessive heat.
Warning
: The following maintenance must not be performed when inspecting.
Attention
:
1. It is a normal phenomenon that the acoustic lens may discolor and the text on the
equipment label may fade away.
2.
The regular disinfection times should be minimized as it may lead to degrade of the
probe safety and performance.
