Safety Messages
This manual and labels on the generator contain important safety messages. Familiarize
yourself with those information. Safety messages alert you to potential hazards that
could injure the operator or bystanders. Each safety message is preceded by a safety
alert symbol and one of the three words
DANGER

. These
mean:

Damage Prevention Messages
Other important messages are preceded by the word

These messages mean:

– The generator or other equipment may be damaged if you do not follow the
instructions.
The purpose of these messages is to prevent damage to the generator, other equipment, or
the generator site.
Safety notes
The generators are designed to be operated safely and reliably if handled in accordance with
the instructions. Read and understand this instruction manual before operating the generator.
You can help prevent accidents by learning about the generator controls and following safe
operating procedures.
Operator Responsibility

Check the manual and remember how to quickly stop the generator in an emergency.

Familiarize yourself with the use of all generator controls, output sockets, and connections.

Make sure everyone who operates the generator receives the proper instructions. Do not let
children operate the generator unsupervised. Keep children and pets away from the work
area.

Place the generator on a hard and level surface, avoid loose sand and snow. Fuel may spill
if the generator is tilted or knocked over. Also, if the generator is knocked over or sinks onto
a soft surface, sand or dirt and water can enter the generator.
