2. Turn the system circuit breaker to the "OFF" position.
3. Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position.
4. Turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position.
NOTE!
To stop the engine in an emergency, turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position.
Engine Oil
Engine oil is a major factor in determining engine performance and service life. Non detergent
2-stroke engine oil is not recommended as it may damage the engine.
The device is sold without oil in the engine and must be filled before starting the generator for
the first time. Check the oil level before each use of
the generator.
Use only engine oils that meet the following condi-
tions:
•
designed for four-stroke engines;
•
HD ("heavy duty") quality;
•
SG, SF / CC or CD classification.
Engine oils with the SAE15W-30 viscosity grade are recommended for year-round use.
15W-40 oils are thicker at low temperatures and are not recommended for winter operation as
they reduce engine performance. However, if the generator is not subjected to prolonged
overload, it is possible to use 15W-40 oil.
Checking the oil level
1. Turn off the generator.
2. Place the generator on an even surface.
3. Wait 5 minutes for the engine to cool down.
4. Remove the oil filler cap.
5. Remove the dipstick, clean it, and reinsert it.
6. Read the oil level.
