5.4.  Boiler commissioning  

  After the boiler is connected to the heating and smoke discharge system, the person who did the work has 

to transfer the completed works to the customer and sign the following documents:  

  Pipeline and boiler hydraulic test report; 

  Pipeline corrosion protection report; 

  Boiler flushing report;  

  Pipeline sealing report. 

  Assembler has to submit to boiler house owner the following documents: 

  Filled in technical certificate of the unit (submitted by manufacturer together with the boiler); 

  Installed protective valve datasheets; 

  Pump datasheets (if pumps are supplied by assembler); 

  Layout of boiler house pipelines with the numbers of closing devices; 

  Boiler house operation mode cards; 

 

Copy of the company’s attestation certificate; 

  Documents proving qualification of the work execution staff; 

  Certificates of the materials used; 

  Fuel supply and smoke purification device datasheets. 

  Boiler houses are to be commissioned following the regulations valid in the country of use. 

 

 

Burner  installation  and  starting  has  to  be  performed  by  authorized  assembler,  trained  by 

manufacturer or importer.  

 

 

6.  Boiler operation 

 

In  order  to  ensure  proper  operation  of  the  equipment,  make  sure  to  study  all  given  boiler,  burner  and 

control unit manuals

6.1.  Preparation for work 

 

When firing the boiler, it is necessary to check: 

  Water volume in the heating system. 

  Water pressure in the boiler and system, system tightness. 

  Boiler fittings (valves, faucets, protection valves). 

  Control and measurement devices (thermometers, pressure gauges). 

  Operation of circulation pumps. 

  Tightness of boiler flue pipe, sooth removal lids, doors. 

  Draught in the flu pipe by the boiler. 

  Smoke exhauster operation and cyclone tightness. 

  Ash removal gear. 

  Connections  of  boiler  controller  (auger,  burner,  pumps,  mixing  valve  gear,  temperature  sensors, 

grounding). 

After  making  sure  that  water  circulation  through  the  boiler  runs  in  a  proper  manner  and  all  the  rest 

equipment of the boiler house are operating in a proper state, this means that the water heating boiler is ready 
for firing. 
 

 

Before firing the boiler, always make sure that:

Boiler doors and cleaning lids are tightly closed

Ash container is not full. 

 

6.2.  Fuel container filling 

 

Fill the fuel container with exclusively good quality wood pellets in accordance with the standards stated in 

the burner manual. 

 

Never  let  any  foreign  items  to  enter  the  fuel  container  because  they  may  damage  the  auger,  

its drive or burner.
