6.3. Stoking
„
Burner control unit PLUM ecoMAX850P2-O (or KEY RK-2006LPGP2) for Pellet Boilers Installation,
Maintenance, Service And Operation Manual
“ in detail describes all available functions; if controlled element
is not used in the system, the function remains inoperative.
The installed device test function allows, before firing the boiler, to check the installed electrical circuitry
(pumps, fans, motors, system mixing valve).
Menu control is available in a number of languages.
Control unit of the boiler controls burner operation, it also has the possibility to control the heating system
and hot water preparation. The controller controls solid fuel supply and air volume during the combustion
process. It carries out automatic fuel firing function with the help of boiler temperature control.
When the boiler approaches to the set temperature, the control system reduces power of the burner.
Volume of supplied fuel and air flow is reduced. When fuel is over and temperature drops down, the boiler is
stopped and a message is shown on the display of the controller.
When the temperature of water leaving the boiler exceeds the set permissible temperature, +90
C,
emergency thermostat is activated, it stops the fuel supply system and fan. In order the boiler returned to the
operation mode, wait till the temperature drops down to 50 (+/-1) °C, then open the emergency thermostat
cover and push the reset button.
More detailed information on boiler stoking with pellets, control unit settings and possible faults can be

„
Burner control unit PLUM ecoMAX850P2-O (or KEY RK-2006LPGP2) for Pellet Boilers Installation,
Maintenance, Service And Operation Manual
“ presents general information about burner operation and
control.
When boiler is operating in a stabile mode, make sure that there are no water leakages, knocks, hydraulic
shocks or penetration of discharged combustion products in the leaky places. Boiler can be continued to
operate only after elimination of the mentioned faults.
During boiler operation, the following indicators are monitored continuously:
−
Inflowing and outflowing water pressure and debit;
−
Inflowing and outflowing water temperature;
−
Temperature of discharged combustion products (gases).
Boiler operating staff records the mentioned parameters in the log.
Boiler operation has to be stopped immediately in the cases of noticing malfunctions in the control and
measurement devices (manometers, thermometers), as well as in the case of water leakage via boiler
connections, damage in the protective valves. Boiler can be continued to operate only after elimination of the
mentioned faults.
During boiler operation, the cycle of ash removal has to be adjusted so that the ash removal auger was
fully covered with ash.
6.4. Boiler maintenance
Before cleaning the boiler, make sure to switch boiler power OFF and take the plug out of electrical
socket.
Clean the boiler only after it cools down!
•
During operation, burner shall not overheat, working environment temperature shall not exceed the value
given in the main specifications table.
•
Before opening hearth door, take fuel hose with fuel supply branch pipe from the burner. Put it back when
cleaning is completed.
•
To clean inside of draught measurement branch pipe, unscrew the blind stopper away and take off the tube
(
see fig. 6
), if needed, blow through the tube.
•
Boiler chimney is recommended to clean no rarely than once a year, before the start of heating season.
•
Periodically check the state of ash container. Lift the lid of ash removal container connection duct and
check how full is the container.
Do not overfill
the ash container
.
•
Burner cleaning intensity depends on type and quality of the fuel.
IT IS FORBIDDEN to discharge untreated condensate into sewage!
