Emptying the Dust Canister

Always switch the handheld vacuum

cleaner ‘OFF’ before emptying

the dust canister. For optimum use,

the dust canister should be emptied

after every use.

To empty the dust canister;

1.  To empty the dust canister,

while holding the handle of

the handheld vacuum, press

downwards with your thumb on

the release button located at the

top of the handle. Use your other

hand to pull the dust canister

away from the handheld vacuum

pointing the nozzle downwards to

avoid spillage (see Fig.9).

2.  Tip the dust canister into the

rubbish bin, lightly tapping

the sides if necessary to

dislodge debris.

3.  Hand wash the dust canister with

warm soapy water if required.

4.  Ensure the dust canister is dried

completely before refitting to the

handheld vacuum.

To Clean the Inlet Valve

The handheld vacuum is fitted with

an inlet valve. After emptying the

dust canister, the inlet valve may be

cleaned to remove excess dust and

debris that has built up after usage.
Care must be taken when removing

the inlet valve from the handheld

vacuum.
1.  Hold the dust canister in one

hand and take hold of the fitted

inlet valve with the other hand

pulling the inlet valve firmly away

from the dust canister.

2.  Hand wash the inlet valve with

warm soapy water if required.

3.  Ensure the inlet valve is dried

completely before refitting to the

handheld vacuum.

4.  To refit the inlet valve to the dust

canister, with the inlet valve

rubber flap facing outwards to

the right, hold the dust canister in

one hand and take hold of the

inlet valve and push into place

until secured (See Fig.10).
