OMNIA®, OMNIGRID and OMNIGRID Connect
OMNIGRID is an OMNIA® Suite product concept designed for monitoring secondary substations
and providing insight into the low-voltage grid together with analytic features. OMNIGRID is a ver-
satile and flexible product that brings both power quality, grid maintenance and the condition of
the substation into focus. The OMNIGRID Connect module is the gateway in the secondary substa-
tion to enable the OMNIGRID feature.
The OMNIGRID Connect module collects, logs and analyses data from various sources. OMNIGRID
is a modularised concept with the OMNIPOWER® CT meter and OMNIGRID Connect as the basic
blocks. Other building blocks in the solution, at substation, can be added such as power analysers
(extension module) and sensors. All blocks communicate with OMNIGRID Connect via RS-485
MODBUS.
OMNIGRID Connect is developed for integration (communication and supply) with both the OMNI-
CON® 2G Modem and in the future Kamstrup Radio Mesh Network (not yet supported).
OMNIGRID Connect supports:

Two digital voltage-free (dry) inputs.
Dedicated analogue input designed to measure earth fault currents.

Powerful embedded ARM application platform.

Storage for loggers and settings.
•
OMNIA® integration, through standard DLMS/COSEM protocols.
