Setting up the antiviral protection parameters

5.4.1.
Identifying return codes and object
statuses
After scanning an object the antiviral kernel returns a code to the program. This
code is called the ‘antiviral kernel response’. If the code is unknown, the
Undefined reply rules will be applied to the object. Each object is assigned a
status based on the return code.
The user can change the statuses and numerical values of the return
codes.
The list of the antiviral kernel responses is given in the table displayed in the
Kernel/Reply list
window (see Figure 20). You can open this window using the
Reply list
hyperlink in the
Kernel
section of the left frame of the configuration
database window (see Figure 9).
Figure 20. The
Kernel/Reply list
window
Structurally, the right frame of the
Kernel/Reply list
window is a table with the
following columns:
•
Return code
– The code returned by the kernel after
scanning/disinfecting the object.
•
Scanned object status
– Name of the object status corresponding to the
return code.
•
Open
– A hyperlink that can be used to open a window containing the
description of processing parameters set for the object with the
corresponding status.
•
Delete
– A hyperlink that can be used to delete the kernel’s response.
In order to add a new return code, do the following:
