Principal files
Files that are principal for Kaspersky Anti-Virus for
Sun Solaris Mail Server and their functions.
The following files are vital for the Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Sun Solaris Mail
Server performance:
•
AvpUnix.ini
contains information critical for the correct operation
of the Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Sun Solaris Mail Server
components.
•
Virus-definition database files (the
.avc
extension files) are used
by the program while it checks for and deletes viruses. The list of
files is stored in the .set file.
•
Profiles (the
.prf
extension files). These files contain various
settings for your Scanner and the daemon process. For
example,
defUnix.prf
.
•
The
.key
file . If your Scanner and Daemon can not find this file,
they will function as demonstration copies, i.e. they will check for
viruses, but will not delete them. The default file has an
alphanumeric name and the .key extension. If you want to
rename the file, make sure to define the new name in the
appropriate line of the .ini file — see Appendix B.
The .key file is a kind of personal key that contains the following
housekeeping data, which is required for Kaspersky Anti-Virus for
Sun Solaris Mail Server to work correctly:
•
registration number of your copy
;
•
confirmation that the program is a registered copy
;
•
