Set the forward drive direction using the
drive direction button at the operator
console.

Press accelerator pedal and drive to the
surface to be cleaned.

Set programme selection switch to "Ap-
ply detergent".

Apply detergent solution to the severe-
lyk contaminated surface and let it soak
in.

Perform the second cleaning run with
light, medium or high cleaning intensity.

Set programme selection to "Drive".

After the automatic lift off of the clean-
ing head, push the appliance a little fur-
ther to vacuum up the remaining water.

Park the machine on an even surface.

Turn key to "0" and remove it.
Note
Overflow dirt water tank. The suction flow is
interrupted by the swimmer when the dirt
water tank is full. Empty the dirt water res-
ervoir.

Remove the cover from the waste water
reservoir.

Take the dirt water discharge hose from
the support and lower above a suited
collection device.

Let off dirt water by opening the screw
lid at the discharge hose.

Rinse the dirt water tank with clear water.

Clean the swimmer and check the
movement of the swimmer ball.

Rinse the dirt water tank with clear water.
Î
Remove the cover from the waste water
reservoir.

Take the fresh water discharge hose
from the support and lower above a
suitable collection device.

Let off detergent by opening the screw
lid at the discharge hose.

Remove the lid from the fresh water
reservoir.

Rinse the fresh water reservoir with
clear water (max. 60°C).
Caution
Risk of damage for fresh water container,
valves and seals. Never leave the cleaning
solution in the fresh water reservoir after
operation.
Danger
Risk of injury! When loading or unloading
the machine, it may only be operated on
gradients of max. 10%. Drive slowly.
Caution
Risk of injury and damage! Observe the
weight of the appliance when you transport
it.

Remove vacuum bar, brushes and
spray guard from the device.
Î
When transporting in vehicles, secure
the appliance according to the guide-
lines from slipping and tipping over.

Caution

of the appliance in case of storage.
This appliance must only be stored in inte-
rior rooms.
Danger
Risk of injury! Before carrying out any tasks
on the machine, set the main key to "0" and
remove it. Pull out the battery plug.
Note
Suction turbine will continue to run for a
while after switch-off. Carry out mainte-
nance tasks only after the suction turbine
has come to a halt.

Drain and dispose of the dirt water and
the residual fresh water.
Î
Check the lid of the dirt water tank for
tightness.
Î
Check tyre status.
Î
Check if brushes are fitted properly.
Î
Check the inserts of the suction hose
for leaks.
Î
Check fastening and setting of the vac-
uum bar (see "Maintenance tasks").
Î
Check lock of drain hoses to see that
they are not leaking.
Î
Check accelerator pedal and steering
wheel for correct functioning.

Check acid level in wet batteries; refill
distilled water, if required.

Empty the dirt water reservoir.

Rinse the dirt water tank with clear wa-
ter.

Clean the sieve in the lid of the dirt wa-
ter tank.

Clean the swimmer in the dirt water
tank (see "Maintenance tasks").

Clean fresh water tank and fresh water
sieve.

Check fresh water filter; clean if re-
quired.

Switch on the suction for drying the sys-
tem.

Empty waste container (B 95 RS only).

Check brushes for wear and tear and
clean them.

Clean the spray guard on the cleaning
head and check for wear (BD 60/95

Clean the spray guard at the cleaning
head and check for wear.

Clean vacuum lips in the vacuum bar
and check for wear.

Clean the outside of the appliance with
a damp cloth which has been soaked in
mild detergent.

Check device externally for damage.

Do not close the lids of the fresh water
and dirt water tanks so that the tanks
can dry up.

Charge battery.
Î
Clean upper side of the batteries.

Check acid density in wet batteries.

Check battery cable for correct position-
ing.

Clean battery room and battery casing.

Check immobilising brake. *

Clean vacuum bar elevation.

Clean the joints at the vacuum bar at-
tachment and at the cleaning head.

Check carbon brushes and commuta-
tors of all motors for wear and tear. *

Check tightening device of steering
chains. *

To ensure a reliable operation of the appli-
ance maintenance contracts can be con-
cluded with the competent Kärcher sales
office.
If the vacuum result is unsatisfactory the in-
clination of the straight vacuum bar can be
modified.
