Risk of explosion on account of gas leak due to improper instal-
lation! Only authorised installation companies (VIU) under con-
tract from the gas supply companies (GVU) are permitted.
The installation companies authorised for installing or modify-
ing gas plants must provide the following details to the gas
supply company before starting installation work:
–
Type and scope of the proposed plant.
–
Proposed construction measures.
The contracted installation company shall confirm with the
gas supply company that there will be adequate gas supply to
the plant.
Gas supply pipe requirements:
–
The pipes should be short and straight, as far as possible.
–
It should have a nominal width greater than the nominal width
of the burner fittings.
–
It should have corrosion protection.
For pipes inside the building and in the open, it is recommend-
ed to do a preliminary and main test with air or inert gas (not
oxygen):
–
Preliminary testing: Without fittings, with an excess pressure
of 0.1 MPa.
–
Main testing: Entire pipe plant from the main cock to the stop-
valve at the burner with closed solenoid valves and an oper-
ating pressure of 1.1 times and a minimum excess pressure
of 0.005 MPa (50 mbar).
–
Apply a coat of foaming agent at the joints; ensure that the
foaming agent is a non-corrosive one.
Danger
Risk of explosion if there is a gas leakage! Do not use leaky
pipes.
Get the start up or commissioning testing done by an author-
ised agent according to the national requirements of the
country of installation.
Rinse the firmly installed water pipes at the installation site.
Establish electrical connections according to the technical
data or details on the type plate.
Inspect the plant and find out the answers to the following
questions:

Is the entire high pressure unit connected properly?
–
Are all joints leak-proof?
–
Is the decalcification unit ready for operation?
–
Is there adequate water supply and is the water temperature
within permissible limits?
–
Is the rotating direction of the burner motor (see direction ar-
row on the casing) OK?
–
Are the temperature settings on the thermostats "hot water“
and "steam stage“ OK?
–
Are the overflow pipes for the swimmer tank and the safety
valve "high pressure outlet" connected properly?
Release safety and controlling mechanisms (safety tempera-
ture stop, exhaust temperature stop).
