Unscrew and withdraw oil dipstick.

Î

Wipe off oil dipstick and insert.

Î

Pull out oil dipstick.

Î

Check engine oil level.

Î

If required, top up oil carefully.

Fastening screw for side part

Î

Open the device hood and secure it us-
ing the hood support. 

Î

Unscrew all the 4 fastening screws of 
the left side part.

Î

Remove the side part.

Î

Unscrew and withdraw oil dipstick.

Î

Keep a collection basin for old oil ready.

Î

Unscrew the oil drain screw and collect 
used oil. 

Î

Screw in oil drain plug.

Î

Fill in motor oil.

Oil grade: see Technical Data

Î

Close oil filler opening.

Î

Wait at least 5 minutes.

Î

Check engine oil level.

Î

Replace side part.

Î

Open the device hood and secure it us-
ing the hood support. 

Î

Unscrew wing nut.

Î

Remove, check and clean filter car-
tridge.

Î

Use either a new or cleaned filter car-
tridge in the vacuum container.

Î

Screw on wing nut.

Î

Open the device hood and secure it us-
ing the hood support.

Spark plug

Î

Remove spark-plug connector.

Î

Unscrew and clean spark plug.

Î

Screw in cleaned or new spark plug.

Î

Push on spark-plug connector.

Open the device hood and secure it us-
ing the hood support. 

Î

Check the fill level in the header tank.

Note

The oil level must lie between the “MAX“ 
mark and a distance of 2 cm above the 
base of the tank.

Warning

This inspection may only be carried out 
when the engine is warm

(2) Adjusting fill level

Î

Open the device hood and secure it us-
ing the hood support. 

Î

Remove the lid of the container.

Î

If required, top up oil carefully.

Î

Close container.

Danger

The engine requires approx. 3-4 seconds to 
come to a standstill once it has been 
switched off. During this time, stay well 
clear of the working area.

Î

Turn ignition key to "0" and remove it.

Î

Open the device hood and secure it us-
ing the hood support. 

Î

Remove covering lid.

Î

Check tension of drive belt and V-belt; 
also check for wear or damage.

Belt tightener

Î

Loosen the screw, reset the belt tighten-
er and tighten the screw again.

Î

Replace covering lid.

Î

Open the device hood and secure it us-
ing the hood support. 

Î

Check chain tension; the chain should 
not deviate more than approx. 3...5 mm.

Î

Tighten the chain if the tolerance is 
high:

Tightening pinion

Î

Loosen the tightening screw on the rear 
side of the tightening pinion.

Î

Press down the tightening pinion and 
fasten it with screws. 

Î

Check the chain tension again. 

Î

Tilt the suction head upward.

Pull out the spring plug.

Î

Pull out the filter cleaner.

Î

Turn out the 4 screws and remove the 
holder.

Î

Remove both the flatfold filters and re-
place them with new flat fold filters. 

Î

Replace holder and tighten the screws. 

Î

Replace the filter cleaner handle.

Î

Plug in the spring plug.

Change the engine oil

Check air filter and replace, if necessary

Clean or replace the spark plug

Check and adjust hydraulic fluid fill level 
and change oil – axle drive circuit

Checking drive belt

Check chain tension

Replacing the fine dust filter (option)
