3. Unpacking and
assembling
Note: For packing reasons, the sweeping
machine is only partly assembled.
Proceed in the following order when
assembling the machine:
1. Unpack the sweeping machine and place
on a level surface.
2. The push handle can be attached as
shown in either Fig. A or B according to the
height of the operator.
4. Operation and use
4.1 Adjusting the rotary brush and
the side brush
Adjusting the rotary brush
The height of the rotary brush is adjusted
with the rotary handle.
The indicator on the rear of the housing
shows the setting.
Note: The machine sweeps most effectively
when the sweeping roller bristles are making
slight ground contact.
Avoid positioning the sweeping roller too
low:
- The machine will resist being moved while
the sweeping effectiveness will not be
visibly improved.
- The roller bristles will wear at an increased
rate.
- The drive wheels may sustain damage.
At regular intervals, check the sweeping
roller for entangled twine and wires, etc.
3. Raise the pushing handle and fix it with the
aid of the star handles.
4. Mount the side brush.
- Undo nut on side brush shaft and remove
washer.
- Connect the carrier plate and side brush
to the brush axle and screw into position
with the plain washer and nut.
Important:
The pegs on the brush plate must engage
in the carrier plate.
