Installing the side brush
Note
The side brush(s) are attached to the driver's seat with a cable tie
when delivered.

1. Attach the side brushes to the device before initial startup. See
chapter "Changing the side brushes".
Batteries / chargers
ATTENTION
Only use the batteries and chargers recommended by the
manufacturer
Only replace batteries with batteries of the same type.
Before disposing of the vehicle, remove the battery and dispose
of it in accordance with national or local regulations.
Activating the Li-Ion battery pack
Li-Ion battery packs are delivered in transport mode and must be
activated before initial startup of the device.
1. Charge the battery pack, this will end the transport mode.
or
2. Press and hold the ON/OFF membrane button next to the bat-
tery indicator for 5-8 seconds.

Recommended battery packs and chargers
Note
Only Li-Ion battery packs may be used in this device!
ATTENTION
Risk of damage
Using other battery packs or chargers may damage the device.
Only use the recommended battery packs.
Inserting and connecting the battery pack

WARNING
Risk of injury due to the device tipping over!
The device may tip over when removing and installing batteries.
Ensure that the device is positioned stably when removing and in-
stalling the batteries.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage to the control electronics!
The control electronics can be destroyed by reversing the polarity
of the battery connections.
Take care to ensure the correct polarity when connecting the bat-
teries.

WARNING
Danger to life from fire or explosion if batteries are deeply
discharged!
Incorrect charging of deeply discharged batteries can cause a
fire.
Do not start the device if the battery is deeply discharged.
Make sure that the battery is charged before starting the system.
1. Remove the ignition key from the key switch.
2. Open the cover and secure it with the locking rod.
3. Place the battery pack in the device as shown.

4. Insert the spacer as shown.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage
If the polarity (plus and minus terminal) is reversed, the control
electronics will be damaged.
Connect the red cable to the plus terminal and the black cable to
the minus terminal.
Observe the illustrations shown above when connecting the ca-
bles.
5. Secure the battery pack and spacer with the tensioning strap.
6. Clamp the connecting cables onto the (+) and (-) battery termi-
nals.
7. Plug in the circular connector.
8. Connect the device-side battery connector to the battery-side
battery connector.
9. Close the cover.
Note
Charge the batteries before starting up the device (see section
"Charging the batteries").
