4.3.12 Activation using the (monopolar) 3-pin
handpiece
Note:
This test item is not applicable to device versions –113 or –114 (but does also apply to Uxxy
versions).
Note:
The user’s neutral electrodes and NE cable should be used as a rule. Alternatively you can use
your own measuring equipment. Use handpieces from manufacturers of disposable products
(e.g. mtp 010103-40) – this enables diode errors in the sockets to be detected.
– Connect the monopolar handpiece to the third HF socket (monopolar 3-pin).
– In the “Device Setup: Application Settings” menu, set NE type to “any”.
– From the procedure list, select a procedure with a monopolar application or, if necessary, create a
suitable procedure.
– As described above, plug the neutral electrode cable into the NE socket. The NE indicator on the
device should light up green.
– Select the “Monopolar Socket” button. A new window will open.
