4.1.2 Tyre Pressures
4.2 Winter / Snow Tyre
General
WARNING
• High pressurized tyres may cause
wear,less brake performance and less
traction control.
• Especially on hot weather conditions, tyre
pressure increases.Do not unpressurize
the tyres when they are hot.
• Nails, stones penetrating into the tyre
threads may cause tyre pressure lost.
Check the tyres periodically.
WARNING
• Low tyre pressure may cause overheating
effect, more fuel consumption and less
traction control.
• On overloaded tyres,hazardous pressure
loss may occur.
• Low tyre pressure may cause damages
and unstable rim connections.
WARNING
To keep the brake balance stable, the tyre
pressures on the same axle should be equal.
Different pressures may cause undesired
brake performance.
WARNING
For the mentioned period all tyres must be
winter tyre including spare tyre.
INFORMATION
For the proper tyre type, request information
from
KARSAN
authorized service stations.
INFORMATION
Studded tyres used for icy road conditions can
be called as winter tyre.
• Prior to long trips, check all tyre pressures
including spare tyres.
• Check the tyre pressure once a week when
they are cold.

Winter tires with the symbol are designed
for use on ice and snow, and lower temperatures
in general. They can be an alternative to the use
of snow chains.Winter tires start to perform better
than summer or all-season tires if temperatures
fall below 7 °C (45 °F), as the rubber compounds
in the latter harden resulting in decreasing grip
even on dry pavement.
Check and obey local and national regulations,
regarding to winter tyre usage
