IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Before using the electrical appliance, the following basic precautions should always be followed:
Please open the lid for first use, set the bread machine in “BAKE” (CUOCI) and make it run for
about 10 minutes. The appliance may emit a little smoke and a characteristic smell when you turn
it on for the first time. This is normal and will soon finish. Stop after running about 10 minutes, then
keep to use.
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. Before using, check that the voltage of wall outlet corresponds to that shown on the rating plate.
3. Do not operate the appliance if its cord or plug is damaged or it the appliance itself malfun-
ctions, or it is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to manufacturer or the
nearest authorized service agent for examination, repair or electrical and mechanical adjustment.
4. Do not touch hot surfaces.
5. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or housing in water or other liquid.
6. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
7. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a working surface or allow it to touch hot surfaces.
8. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may
cause injuries.
9. Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
10. Do not touch any moving or spinning parts of the machine when baking.
11. Never switch on the appliance without properly placed bread pan filled with ingredients.
12. Never beat the bread pan on the top or edge to remove the pan as this may damage the bread
pan.
13. Metal foils or other materials must not be inserted into the bread maker to prevent the risk of
fire or short circuit.
14. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
15. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
16. Never cover the steam vents in the lid and ensure there is adequate ventilation around the
bread maker during operation. A fire can be caused if it is covered by, or comes into contact with
combustible material.
17. Do not operate the appliance for other than its intended use.
18. Always use the appliance on a secure, dry level surface.
19. Do not use outdoors.
20. This appliance has been incorporated with a grounded plug. Please ensure the wall outlet in
your house is well earthed.
21. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
– Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
– Farm houses;
– By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
– Bed and breakfast type environments.
22. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remo-
te-control system.
23. Do not operate the unit without bread pan placed in the chamber to avoid damaging the
appliance.
