• Suitable earthing conductors
are:
A solid single copper wire with a 16 mm
2
cross section, an aluminium wire with 25 mm
2
, a steel wire with 50
mm
2
or metal pipes of water or heating systems, provided these fulfi l the requirements regarding cross section
and durability of the electrical connection inherent to earthing conductors.
• Not suited as earthing conductors
are the outer conductor of the antenna cable nor the neutral conductor of
an electric cable. Antenna cables and the earthing conductor must not be laid across rooms where easily
infl ammable material is stored (e. g. hay or straw) or across places where an explosive atmosphere can
develop (e. g. gases, vapour).
If the fl at antenna is used in conjunction with an existing antenna system (a signal distribution system) the groun-
ding is to be effected in such a way that after removal or exchange of individual components of the systems, the
grounding is still preserved.
Attention!
• The installation of earthing and lightning protection systems must only be carried out by
trained specialists of the electric trade, otherwise danger exists that the work is performed
inadequately.
• If you are not a specialist, abstain from installing such systems.
The information you fi nd in this instruction is not an invitation for unexperienced people to effect the installation on
one´s own responsibility, but is supplementary information for the specialist.
11. Maintenance and cleaning

For cleaning, use clear water and the usual agents. Do not use cleaning agents containing acetone,
celluse thinner, benzine, etc. since these can damage the antenna.
