4)
Only use the DEF in accordance with ISO 22241-1. Do not
use any DEF other than the brand specified. Do not dilute the
DEF or add any additives. Doing so could not only result in
worse gas emissions, but also could cause the machine to fail.
5)
Since no soot generates in exhaust gas, a spark arrester is not
necessary. Do not install a spark arrester because it adversely
affects the SCR system and engine.
6)
Use low-ash engine oil, "E9 standard."
Use an engine oil recommended by KATO or specified by
Cummins (
Cummins Premium Blue
)
. Using an oil other than
the type recommended by KATO or specified by Cummins
could cause engine malfunction/failure.
Engine oil softens (
lower viscosity
) at higher temperatures
and becomes thicker (
higher viscosity
) at lower temperatures.
Therefore, use an oil with a viscosity appropriate for the
given air temperature conditions. Contact your authorised
KATO dealer before operating the engine at the outside air
temperature below
-
20
°C.
