・
If you move the shift lever to any position other than "N" while the machine is at rest, it may
start to move even if you are not pressing the accelerator pedal. Always keep the brake pedal
pressed down when changing gears.
・
When the machine is lifted off the ground on the outriggers (the tires are getting off the
ground)
and the parking brake is engaged, the shift lever should only be in the "N" position.
If not, the differential gear may be damaged.
Change gear only when all wheels are on the ground.
(541A-0115-1E)
NOTE
If you move the shift lever to any position other than "N" while the parking brake is engaged, the warning
buzzer will sound.
NOTE
If you shift down but do not reduce speed sufficiently, the transmit will not shift down to the lower position.
Also, on downhill slopes with speeds 1, 2 or 3 selected, the transmission will automatically shift up one position
when the driving speed exceeds the speed range for the selected gear. In this case the effect of engine brake will
be lost. Take great care to keep the machine
’
s speed within the range of the selected shift position.
NOTE
If the AT/M malfunction warning lamp lights or flashes, the shift lever will automatically change over to manual
shift. See the section "Handling a malfunction in the automatic transmission system".
(2) Rear steering switch (
self-reset type
)
When the rear steering lock release is confirmed
(when the rear
steering lock release confirmation indicator lamp lights
), moving
the rear steering switch will steer the rear wheels in the direction
the switch is moved as long as it is held in that direction.
NOTE
If you try to move the rear steering switch while the rear steering
is locked, misoperation warning buzzer will sound.
Before performing the rear steering operation, make sure that the area is cleared of all
individuals.
