Engine stop emergency switch
This switch is used to shut off the engine in an emergency if the engine does not stop when the starter switch is
turned to the "ACC" or "OFF" position.
Push this switch to shut off the engine and then release the lock by pulling out the switch or turning it to the right.
・
If the engine does not stop when the starter switch is turned to the "ACC" position, contact
your authorised KATO dealer immediately.
・
After the engine has stopped, release the lock by pulling out the switch or turning it to the
right. If you leave the starter key in the "ACC" or "ON" position with the engine stopped, the
battery will run down.
・
Never use the engine stop emergency switch to shut off the engine under normal conditions.
・
You can shut off the engine only when the shift lever is in the "N" position and the PTO
switch is in the "ON" position.

(6) Accelerator pedal
This pedal controls the operation speed during crane operation.
Sudden acceleration during crane operation is dangerous. Always
try to work the accelerator smoothly.
Before operating the accelerator pedal, confirm that the needle of the engine water temperature
gauge is above point "C".
Operating the accelerator pedal while the engine coolant temperature is low could cause a
seizure, fast wear, damage etc. due to poor lubrication (
from high oil viscosity
) of the engine and
torque converter.
Properly perform warm-up running.

NOTE
When the PTO switch is set to the "ON" position, the engine speed is controlled between 700min
-1
(
700r.p.m.
)
and 1750min
-1
(
1750r.p.m.
).
