22. Crane operation when the outriggers are used
22-6-2 Hook stowing procedure

Make the crane face forward, fully retract the boom and set the boom to an angle of 10 degrees.
If the main hook is configured with other than four parts of line, change it to four parts of line.

Set the "hook stowage mode" to the ACS.

Make sure that either "boom operation mode" or "rooster operation mode" has been set.

By setting the fully retracted boom length and the boom angle of 11 degrees or less, the hook stowage mode
selection switch (
green)
is displayed on the following ACS screen.

The "hook stowage mode selection switch
(
green)
" is not displayed unless the boom is
fully retracted, the boom angle is 11 degrees or less, the slewing angle is within 3 degrees of
zero, and the actual load is 1.0 ton or less.
・
Fully retract the boom and move it to a boom angle between 9 to 11 degrees before stowing
the hooks. Stowing the hooks improperly could cause boom or wire rope damage.
