4 First use
4.1 Fitting and connecting
4.1.1 Connect power, air and water
DANGER
Electrical power.
Electrical shock
▶ If the light is attached, pull the mains plug of the unit and of the light or disconnect
all poles of the unit from the voltage source.
CAUTION
Splashing water

▶ Place the customer-site power outlets appropriately such that any ingress of
splashing water from the simulation unit is prevented.
CAUTION
Connecting lines from the simulation unit to the customer-site supply connectors.
Injuries and electrical shock
▶ Route the connecting lines from the unit's connector and the power outlet appro-
priately such that there is no risk of tripping and such that the cable does not get
damaged during the positioning (travel) of the simulation unit. Route the connect-
ing lines appropriately such that the are protected by the strain relief of the simu-
lation unit.
Note
Connections to drinking water lines must comply with local, national regulations. In
Europe, compliance with DIN EN 1717 is required.
Install dentist element and assistant element (optional).
▶ Remove the dentist element ① with support arm from the packaging and plug it in
the holder ②
▶ Remove the assistant element ③ (if any) with support arm from the packaging
and plug it in the holder ②
▶ Hook the tray (optional) ④ in the tray holder of the assistant element.
