5.5 Instruments
5.5.1 Using the spray mist suction device and saliva ejector
Note
If the saliva ejector is used, the slide of the spray mist extraction device must be
closed.
If the spray mist extraction device is used, the slide of the saliva ejector must be
closed.
▶ Remove the spray mist suction device or saliva ejector from the holder.
ð
The spray mist suction device or saliva ejector automatically turns on, and then
when it is placed in the holder, it turns off.
The suction flow of the saliva ejector or spray mist suction device can be reduced or
blocked with the slide valves integrated in the handpieces.
5.5.2 Using the turbine
Note
Follow the Instructions for Use, service instructions and installation instructions in
the instrument packaging.
The following settings can be changed:
▪ Speed
▪ Cooling condition
▶ Use the foot control to set the speed.
▶ Use the control panel or the foot control to set the cooling status.
5.5.3 Using INTRA LUX motors KL 701/703 with foot control
Note
Follow the Instructions for Use, service instructions and installation instructions in
the instrument packaging.
The following settings can be changed:
▪ Direction of motor rotation
▪ Motor speed (foot control A only)
▪ Cooling status
Operating mode of the INTRA LUX motor KL 701/703 and K5 plus handpiece 4911:
Operating time: 2 minutes
Pause: 8 minutes
Note
The mode represents the possible maximum load of the INTRA LUX motor (full load
at maximum speed). In practice, pulse loads lasting seconds or pause times lasting
seconds or minutes are realistic, usually without reaching the maximal possible mo-
tor current. This corresponds to the common working procedure of a dentist. The
minimum or maximum speed level depends on the motor used and on the straight
handpiece or contra-angle handpiece that is attached.
