Additional intensive germ reduction during period of
non-use
KaVo recommends to run a second "weekly" cleaning, e.g. during semester
breaks at universities. This flushes the parts of the unit and replaces the germ
reduction liquid cleaner.
2.7.6 Manual internal cleaning of the suction hoses
Note
Clean the suction tubes after each treatment.
For manual cleaning, a suction hose is held to the extraction point. The suction
hose, drain and separation system are rinsed. The water is sucked out of the
Aquamat through the extraction point and suction handpiece to the separation
system.

Hold all the suction hoses in sequence tightly to the extraction point to pre-
vent the ingress of ambient air.

An automatically dosed amount of water is supplied by the vacuum. An
acoustical signal is emitted after the process is completed (approx. 3
seconds).

Remove the hose by slowly tipping to the side, and hook it to the assistant
element.
2.8 Reprocessing of the handpiece holder
NOTICE
Damage caused by inappropriate cleaning agents.

Do not use acid-containing, sand-containing, and form-forming cleaning
agents.
Note
The drain must be checked for damage prior to the weekly cleaning pro-
gramme. The handpiece holder should be cleaned or disinfected in a washer
disinfector unit according to need.
