The EXPERTtorque LUX E680 and the EXPERTtorque Mini LUX E677 are dental
handpieces in accordance with 21 CFR § 872.4200 (dental handpiece and ac-
cessories).
The EXPERTtorque LUX E680 and the EXPERTtorque Mini LUX E677 are air-
driven dental handpieces, designed exclusively for use by trained professionals
in the field of general dental medicine. The devices are air-powered handpieces
that are reusable and ergonomically shaped, and provided with a fiber optic
light system. The devices can be sterilized in a steam sterilizer (autoclave). The
EXPERTtorque LUX E680 and the EXPERTtorque Mini LUX E677 are connected
to the dental treatment unit by an inside hose and the coupling as the means
for the supply of the requisite drive air and coolant media for conservative den-
tal treatment; light and water are also supplied to the treatment field by this
means.
3.1 Intended use - Proper use
Indications for use:
The EXPERTtorque LUX E680 and the EXPERTtorque Mini LUX E677 are de-
signed for the removal of carious material, reduction of hard tooth structure, for
cavity and crown preparations, for removal of fillings, processing and finishing
of tooth preparations and restorations, and for the polishing of teeth. They may
be used by trained professionals in general dental medicine exclusively.
