7.1 General care instructions
CAUTION
Blinding and dazzling due to damaged glass cover of operating light.
Scratches on the glass cover of the operating light could lead to scattering of
the light. Even if the light field is correctly aligned, the patient can be dazzled
or blinded by the scattering light.

Replace the glass cover at once if it is damaged.
CAUTION
Product damage due to inappropriate cleaning.
Damage to the surface, scratches on or impairment of surface of the glass
cover.
▶
Only clean the light and glass cover after the light has been switched off
and has cooled down.
CAUTION
Damage to product as a result of improper cleaning.
Malfunctions, unclean surfaces and risk of infection for operator and patients.

When using detergents, adhere to the manufacturer's instructions.
CAUTION
Damage to product as a result of improper disinfection.
Malfunctions.

When using disinfectants, adhere to the manufacturer's instructions.
▶
When disinfecting, wipe only.
▶
Do not immerse product or product parts in water or other fluids.
Note
Do not use solvents or aggressive chemicals! Do not use alkaline cleaning
agents or disinfectants!
7.2 Cleaning and disinfection of light, glass cover and
mirror
Note
Clean the light and glass cover only after the light has been switched off and
cooled down.
Approved disinfectants:
▪ Incidin Liquid (Ecolab)
▪ FD 322 (Dürr)
▪ Microcide AF Liquid (Schülke & Mayr)
▶
Clean the light, glass cover and mirror with a soft lint-free cloth and luke-
warm water.
▶
Disinfect the light, glass cover and mirror by wipe disinfection.
