Utilisation:
KaWe otoscopes are only to be used by authorised
personnel. They are used for the medical examination of
natural bodily orifices such as the ears, nose and mouth.
Purpose:
KaWe otoscopes with attached ear funnels are used for
direct examination of the auditory canal and eardrum.
Operation:
KaWe EUROLIGHT®/KaWe COMBILIGHT®:
Satisfactory
operation is guaranteed with either the use of standard
2.5V KaWe handles with 2 batteries (type C, 1.5V, alkaline
batteries recommended, or KaWe 2.5 V or 3.5 V
rechargeable batteries (accumulators). Check for correct
polarity and for correct bulbs (2.5V and 3.5V)! To attach
the the instrument head, slip it on and click it into place or
clamp it on.
Turn on the sliding switch by pushing and movingit to the
left. The rheostat enables the light intensity (maximum
switch position) to be adjusted easily. Turn off the sliding
switch by moving it to the right back to its starting
position. Replace the battery by unscrewing the bottom
cap. Handles with rechargeable batteries can be charged
with the KaWe MedCharge® 4000 (NiMH as well as
lithium-ion rechargeable batteries).

KaWe PICCOLIGHT® F.O. + C:
Satisfactory operation
guaranteed when using KaWe standard 2.5V handles with
2 batteries (“AA” Mignon 1.5V). Turn the unit on by
activating the sliding on/off light switch. Replace the
battery and bulb by unscrewing and replacing the KaWe
PICCOLIGHT® head.

What is the purpose of the general
medical otorhinolaryngological
examination of the ear?:
This examination enables the doctor to diagnose different
diseases and functional disorders in the areas of the outer
ear, the auditory canal, the ear drum and the inner ear and
to monitor the treatment of these areas.
Lamp exchange:
Satisfactory operation of the unit can only be guaranteed
with the use of original KaWe lamps, as only these
guarantee adequate light strength and suitable light type.
