Operation:
Proper operation is guaranteed with the use of KaWe standard handles with two 2.5 V batteries or for the KaWe EUROLIGHT®-
series, with 2.5 V KaWe accumulators. We recommend alkaline batteries.
The illumination brightness of the KaWe EUROLIGHT® E10 and KaWe EUROLIGHT® E30 models can be regulated. Lowering the brightness
causes the pupil to dilate and at the same time, the patient is less strongly blinded.
KaWe EUROLIGHT® E10 model:
2 batteries “C“ Baby 1.5V
Attach and screw the instrument head firmly onto the battery handle (8). Turn on by pressing and turning the rotary switch to the left (9).
The brightness can be regulated easily with the rheostat (9). Turn off by turning the switch back to the right to its original position (9).
Be sure that the switch clicks when it is moved to the “off” position (9). Change the batteries by removing the bottom closing cap (10).
KaWe EUROLIGHT® E30 model:
2 batteries “C“ Baby 1.5V
Attach and screw the instrument head firmly onto the battery handle (8). Turn on by pressing and turning the rotary switch to the left (9).
The brightness can be regulated easily with the rheostat (9). Turn off by turning the switch back to the right to its original position (9).
Be sure that the switch clicks when it is moved to the “off” position (9). Change the batteries by removing the bottom closing cap (10).
KaWe PICCOLIGHT® E50 model:
2 “AA“ mignon 1.5V batteries
Attach and screw the instrument head firmly onto the battery handle (8). Turn on and off using the sliding switch (9). Change the
batteries by unscrewing the instrument head.
On all models, the lens correction wheel can be used by the patient and/or doctor to correct ametropia (defective vision).
Changing the bulb:
Proper operation of the instrument is only guaranteed when original KaWe vacuum light lamps are used. These
lamps ensure an optimal illumination!
KaWe EUROLIGHT® E30 model:
Remove the ophthalmoscope head from the handle by pressing down on the click closure and pull
on the lamp to remove it from the handle (5).
KaWe EUROLIGHT® E10 model:
Loosen the clamping screw and remove the ophthalmoscope head from the handle (1). Remove
the lamp holder (2) from the head. Now replace the bulb. If necessary,
clean the glass bulb (3) of the new lamp with alcohol. The glass bulb
should be clean and free of finger prints, grease-free. Insert the new
lamp with the lamp holder in the head. Now, rescrew the union ring.
KaWe PICCOLIGHT® E50 model:
Unscrew the ophthalmoscope head from the handle and remove the lamp by pulling it out of the
handle (5). Clean the glass piston (7) of the new lamp with alcohol, if necessary. The glass piston should be clean and free of finger prints
(free of grease). Insert the new lamp in such a way as to ensure that the side centring pin (6) rests in the groove provided for it in the lamp
socket. The lamp must be inserted completely into the socket.
Cleaning:
In order to avoid contact with dirt and dust, always store this instrument in its packaging. A damp, soft and lint-free cloth
can be used to clean the instrument. To disinfect the instrument, a cloth dampened in alcohol can be used. The disc in the light emission
opening (1) can be cleaned if necessary with a cotton swab and with a very small bit of alcohol. When cleaning this part, do not apply
pressure to the disc!
