Check and  

performance test

• The smooth running of all movable  

  parts like the diaphragms and the  

  correction lens wheels must be  

  ensured.

• Turn ON / OFF the units.

• Ensure that the head is properly  

  connected with the handle.

Cleaning

• Remove surface contaminations  

  with a disposable paper towel.

• The outside of the ophthalmoscope  

  can be cleaned with a damp,  

  soft and lint-free cloth.

• All surfaces can be cleaned with  

  alcohol or a non-abrasive cleaning  

  agent.

• Do not use abrasive cleaning  

  agents.

• The ophthalmoscope cannot be  

  sterilized.

• Mechanical cleaning is not possible.

Maintenance

• When used and stored properly,  

  the ophthalmoscope is  

  maintenance-free.

• Damaged parts must be sorted  

  out and/or replaced.

Disposal

 Batteries and used  

accumulators must be disposed  

of in accordance with legal  

requirements. 

NiCd /NiMH

  Defective electric appliances  

must be brought to a collection  

center for elctric and electronic  

components.
