Users Manual
Purpose
• The light-intensive head lamp is destined for
use in the operative and in the otorhinolaryn-
gologic area.
• The head lamp is only to be used with
halogen light sources of up to max. 150 W.
• The head lamp may not be connected
to a xenon light source.
Guarantee
When used under normal circumstances and with
attention to these instructions
(the users manual) we guarantee this product for
two years after the date of purchase.
Should you need further information or should
your instrument require repair,
please contact your dealer.

Safety instructions!
Use
•
The head lamps are only to be used
by authorized personnel.
•
The instructions given by the manufacturer of
the light source must be followed.
•
The head lamp may not be connected to a
xenon light source.
•
The head lamp is only to be used when it is in
good working order and condition.
•
The light conducting cable may not be
removed with a snapping motion!
Smallest bending radius 50 mm.
- Intense snapping motion may result
in breakage of the fibre optics.
•
Do not suspend the head lamp from the light
conducting cable or carry it by means of the
light conducting cable.
• Protect the head lamp against heat, oil and
caustic solvents.
Cleaning
•
Ultrasonic cleaning is not allowed!
•
The head lamp may not be brought into
contact with water or solutions.
•
Sterilization in hot air devices or in autoclaves
is not allowed!

This KaWe product meets the standards for medical
products 93/42EEC.

Cleaning
• Wipe off the head lamp with a damp cloth
and with surface disinfectants
immediately after each use.
Pre-disinfection
• Pre-disinfection is to be carried out in
accordance with the instructions given by the
manufacturers.
Disinfection
• Disinfectants and cleaning solutions must be
prepared and proportioned in accordance
with the instructions of the manufacturer.
The prescribed concentration and reaction time
must be followed.
• Possible disinfectant residues at the light exit
and the optics must be removed carefully.
Maintenance
• When used and cleaned appropriately,
the head lamp remains maintenance-free.
Storage
• Carefully remove the light conducting cable
from the light source.
• Store the head lamp in a dry place.
• Do not suspend the head lamp from the light
conducting cable.
