Secondary treatment limitations:
Secondary treatment has a minor effect on these de-
vices. The service life of the product is usually defined based on the degree of wear and use-re-
lated damage. Prompt secondary processing of the tool is recommended after its application.
Instructions
Transportation and storage:
No special requirements.
Preparation for cleaning:
No special requirements.
Manual cleaning:
Wipe the tendon hammer with a damp cloth or a surface cleaner. Obser-
ve the concentrations specified by the manufacturer.
Disinfection:
Disinfecting and cleaning solutions should be used in the correct dosage, ac-
cording to the manufacturer. If the dosage is not enough, the solution is ineffective; too strong
dosage causes damage to the tool. Observe the exposure time. Make fresh disinfecting and
cleaning solutions regularly, as they lose their effectiveness.
Disinfection is the first processing procedure for contaminated items and materials in order to
reduce the number of microorganisms and facilitate further cleaning. Avoid drying of dirt on
the material. In addition, disinfection is aimed to protect personnel and the environment du-
ring the procedure. If possible, disinfect the tool at the place of its use as quickly as possible in
one action.
Sterilization:
Not applied for hammers! Only needles can be sterilized. The needles can be
successfully sterilized with the following parameters: Fractional pre-vacuum (three times),
sterilization temperature: min. 132 °C, max. 137 °C, exposure time: at least 3 min. (full cycle),
drying time: 10 min.
