Adjusting the tweezer tips:
Tick tweezers are tools used to facilitate the removal of ticks
from the skin. The tips of the Kirchner & Wilhelm tick tweezers are easy to adjust, enabling
each user to adjust the instrument to best fit their own technique for removing the tick. These
adjustable tips are especially useful when the tweezers must be used at a very low angle rel-
ative to the skin‘s surface
Before the tick is removed, one of the tweezer blades can be slid underneath the tick. For this
purpose, it can be helpful if the lower blade is slightly longer than the top blade. If, however,
the ticks needs only to be grasped by the tweezers, no alignment adjustment is necessary.
Please note that the Kirchner & Wilhelm tick tweezers are designed such that the blade tips
are freely adjustable. The length of these tips relative to one another can be adjusted using a
standard pair of household pliers.
