3. Status reading
Shows the machine status (sensitivity setting,
set range for DISC/NOTCH), battery charge
status and if SURF-ELIM has been selected,
or not.
4. Sensitivity reading (SENSITIVITY)
Shows the sensitivity of the machine.
5. Depth reading
Indicates the target depth.

1. VOLUME
Switching on and switching off, plus adjusting
the volume.
2. MODE
Selection of power mode.
3. SURF ELIM
Activates surface elimination mode.
4. GND TRAC, GND BAL
Indicates ground balancing in mode ALL METAL
and precise localisation of object.
5. ADJUST, UP ARROW, DOWN ARROW, ENTER
Adjusts the sensitivity and range for DISC and
NOTCH.
Insertion
1. Check that the power switch is in the
switched off position.
2. Open the battery cover in the direction of
the arrow.
3. Remove the old batteries and release the
cables.
4. Connect the cables to the new batteries
with the correct polarity and insert the
batteries.
5. Replace the battery cover.

NOTE:
• Remove the batteries if the machine is
not going to be used for a week or
longer, they can leak chemicals that
damage the electronic parts.
• Switch the batteries round after 3–4
working hours to prolong battery life.
• When the batteries are discharged "LOW
BATT" is shown in the right hand corner
of the display. Replace the batteries as
soon as possible.
WARNING!
Do not burn batteries – risk of explosion.
Recycle used batteries in accordance with
local regulations.
