Sitting position
It is very important that the bike is correctly adjusted, so that it is both comfortable and safe. The fol-
lowing pages provide information on how to adjust a comfortable, safe and eff ective sitting position.
Adjusting the saddle
Release the nut that holds the saddle to the saddle post, so that you can move the saddle forwards or
backwards. Adjust to the required position. The angle of the saddle can also be adjusted. We recom-
mend that the saddle is horizontal. Adjust the height of the saddle by releasing the clamping screw
that holds the saddle post to the saddle tube. Set the saddle post to the required height and tighten
the clamping screw.
IMPORTANT:
• The saddle post must be lower than the marking for the top position. It should not be possible to
see the marking for the top position.
• Tighten the saddle post clamping screw and nut to 30 Nm with a 6 mm hex key or 13 mm hex
spanner. Check that the saddle post is securely fastened by trying to turn the saddle by hand. You
should not be able to turn the saddle.
• Never ride the bike if the saddle, or saddle post, are not properly tightened.
Diff erent saddle posts are used for diff erent types of saddles, and therefore the attachment method
can vary. Contact your dealer if you are not sure how to fi t the saddle.
Saddle angle
The saddle should be horizontal. It is possible to change the angle of the saddle, but it is usually best
to have it horizontal. If you sit best with the saddle at a slight angle you should check if there is some
other adjustment you can make instead.
