PC Card slots
The computer has built-in CardBus PC Card slots that can accommodate one type
III or two type II/I PC Cards. Please consult your dealer for PC Card options
available that you can purchase for your computer.
The PC Card slots found on the right of the computer accepts credit-card-sized
cards that enhance the usability and expandability of the computer.
PC Cards (formerly PCMCIA) are add-on cards for portable computers, giving you
expansion possibilities long afforded by desktop PCs. Popular type II cards
include flash memory, SRAM, fax/data modem, LAN and SCSI cards. CardBus
improves on the 16-bit PC Card technology by expanding the data path to 32 bits.
Note:
Refer to your card’s manual for details on how to install and use the
card and its functions.
Inserting a card
Note:
Insert a type III PC Card in the lower slot.
Insert the card into the appropriate slot and make the proper connections (e.g.,
cable), if necessary. See your card manual for details.
