2. Safety notes
2.1 General safety notes
• Follow all instructions given in this manual and all
other documents enclosed with the tanning device.
In addition, observe all relevant statutory provi-
sions and regulations, also those applicable in the
country of operation.
• The tanning device must only be installed and
assembled by qualified, trained and authorized
service technicians.
• Arbitrary modifications or conversions of the tan-
ning device are not permissible.
• Observe all danger signs and safety notices
attached to the tanning device.
• Safety signs must not be removed, and safety
equipment must not be disabled or removed.
• The tanning device must only be operated when in
perfect working condition.
• Never operate the tanning device with the outer
covering removed or with the acrylic panes
removed.
• This tanning device must be operated with an
external timer that is listed in compliance with UL
917.
• The canopy is not designed to carry
additional loads. In particular, during
installation the canopy must not be
charged with additional loads.
• Before carrying out any work, the tanning device
must be disconnected from the mains voltage.
DANGER
Live parts
Danger of life or fatal injury due to electric
shock when touching live parts.
• Switch neutral
• Secure against reconnection
• Check for neutrality
• Ground and short-circuit
• Cover or shield any adjacent live parts or
components
CAUTION
Hot device parts
Danger of burns from hot lamps and
housing parts. If the tanning device was
operated before being opened, lamps
and housing parts may be hot.
• Wait until the tanning device has
cooled down.
CAUTION
Danger of pinching
When assembling heavy components,
you can pinch your fingers or hands.
• Wear assembly gloves.
• Be careful when handling heavy com-
ponents.
