5.9 Canopy drive

Tightening the
springs
In order to guarantee a trouble-free operation of the canopy
drive, check and service the spring ropes each time the tubes
are replaced. (see table step 1-2)
If the canopy does no longer remain firmly in the upper position,
the two springs have to be re-tightened. For that purpose you
will need a ratchet spanner with a 0.39” socket.

Check the ropes for wear. If individual wires of the rope
are spliced, always replace both ropes.

Remove the lateral pane.

Both at the right-hand and at the left-hand side you will
have free access to the tension screws. When you have
an XXL-unit remove the cover plates.

Tighten both springs in a balanced way.

Check the canopy drive: the canopy remains firm in any
position.

Close the lateral pane.
