OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

Battery
Open the battery door on the back of tool, insert two AAA batteries of 1.5 volt with reference to
the correct polarity. Close the battery compartment door.

Detection for electrical wires
1.
Place the tool slightly against the wall and switch on the power, the indicator lamp lights
up (please keep pressing the power button during detection).
2.
Move the tool right and left slowly without rotation and deflection. When approaching to
the electrical wires, the indicator lamp lights up and the buzzer sounds, then mark the
position of this moment.
3.
Keep moving broadwise until the indicator lamp does not blink and the buzzer stops, and
this position is another edge of wires area, and the center of the two positions is the
central position of the electrical wires.
4.
When the signal is strong, the wires area looks broader, so repeat the operation steps
above to get the precise position of the electrical wires.
Notice: do not use the tool under the following conditions
1.
The surface of the wall is covered with aluminum films and metallic
materials.
2.
Concrete or brick wall.
3.
Situations that condensation is easy to form (condensation under the dry
surface also cause incorrect detection).
4.
Wall and plate with moisture stream (places that are affected by water like
bathroom and kitchen should be excluded).
5.
Situations that the glue water or paint is not dry.
6.
High temperature and high moisture places.
7.
Near strong electrical wave (e.g. broadcasting station and radio wave).

Operation tips
1.
When thee signal is weak or not steady, please change another place to detect.
2.
When the indicator lamp blinks everywhere during detection, it is possible that static
electricity exists on the wall surface, so the wall is not suitable for detection.
3.
Please do not move against the wall or move bevel ways in case of affecting the
precision of detection.
4.
When the electrical wires are laid out horizontally, please hold the tool in horizontal
direction and detect up and down.
5.
AC live wires in metal pipes or metal covered wire, as well as metal walls or walls of
high density all cannot be detected, but the live wires in plastic pipe can be detected.
6.
The tool can accurately detect the center of electrical wires (make the center as the basis),
but the width can only be detected in a range.
7.
If the indicator lamp darkles or goes out when using, please check or replace the battery.

Example of application
1.
Find out the course trend of electrical wires in walls.
2.
Distinguish AC live wires from ground wires (detect when the distance between the two kind
of wires are 5cm).
3.
Judge that if various electrical equipments are with electricity or if the socket of power supply
has voltages.
4.
Search for disconnection position inside the cables and electric carpet.

Connect one end of the faulty wires to the live wires, other wires (the cable) are
connected to zero or ground; open the inductor and move along the wires, the trip point
occurs when the indicator lamp stops blinking and the sound stops.
z
When searching for disconnection inside the electric carpet, make one end of the wire
connect to the live wires and the other end connect to the zero line.
