Keg Configuration
The Kegco MDK-199 Kegerator is large enough to fit most full-size kegs and a dispense system including a 5 lb CO2 tank.
Coors Kegs, Rubber Kegs and other kegs that are beveled wider in the middle than the top and bottom will not fit.
The MDK-199 is able to hold multiple kegs as well. It
can hold up to two 5 Gallon Commercial Kegs or 5
Gallon Cornelius Home Brew Kegs, making it a very
versatile option for your draft beer needs.
The stainless steel plate at the bottom of the kegerator
displaces the weight of the kegs evenly over the base of
the kegerator, preventing damage to the plastic interior
liner.
The 5 lb CO2 Tank will fit on the compressor shelf along
with the regulator, allowing you plenty of room for the
keg to sit on the kegerator floor in front of the
compressor shelf. A larger CO2 tank will not fit on the
shelf, and also would not have enough room to sit on
the kegerator floor along with the keg.
The kegerator can also be converted to a refrigerator by
installing the included wire shelves in the grooves
provided. With 5 grooves on each side of the fridge,
you have the ability to space the shelves according to
your needs, adding to it's versatility and convenience.
This kegerator has the option of mounting the CO2 tank
outside the unit and running an air line through the
knockout in the rear kegerator wall allowing for more
room inside or for the use of a bigger tank.
To install the CO2 Tank outside the kegerator, you will
need to mount the Tank Holder on the back of the unit.
To run the air line hose through the cabinet wall,
remove the plug located at the exterior back (top left
hand corner) of the kegerator. Save it for later use if
you decide to convert unit to an all refrigerator. Insert
the open end of the air line from the cabinet through
the uncovered hole.
