Section 1: Introduction to S530 Diagnostics
Report files
There are two types of report files. A separate report is generated for each diagnostic test that you
run:
1. .csv
format
2. .log
format
If you are logged in to ACS in engineer mode, you will generate a detailed advanced report (in .csv
format) and a log report. Both of these reports are generated after testing is complete. The detailed
report contains the pass and fail status of each test, as well as the measurement results. Both reports
are located in the following default directory:
C:\ACS\Projects\Diagnostic\Reports
NOTE
In addition to the reports that are generated after testing, during testing, the results are displayed as
the test progresses in the ACS graphical user interface (GUI).
If you are logged in to ACS in operator mode, you will generate a basic report (in .csv format) and a
log report. Both of these reports are generated after testing is complete. The basic report contains the
pass and fail status of each test, however, it does not indicate the detailed measurement results. Both
reports are located in the following default directory:
C:\ACS\Projects\Diagnostic\Reports
Review diagnostic reports
In Windows, navigate to the directory where the diagnostic reports are stored. The default path and
directory is indicated below:
C:\ACS\Projects\Diagnostic\Reports
The reports are in .csv format and .log format. The filename of each report contains the year, date,
and time the test was accomplished. For example, the Diag_SMU_Advanced_Report test was
finished on 2010 (year), August (month), 5
th
(day), 1:22:47 am (time):
Diag_SMU_Advanced_Report_20100805012247.csv
Diag_Log_SMU_20100805012247.log
Diag_Matrix_Basic_Report_20100804230442.csv
Diag_Log_Matrix_20100804230442.log
Loop the testing
You can run diagnostic testing several times by using the LOOP function. There are two methods that
you can use to loop through diagnostic tests:
NOTE
You can loop (or repeat) your diagnostic test a minimum of one time or as many as 99 times.
1. High-level looping: loop through the entire diagnostics suite on all the instruments by using the
Select All function.
