Rear panel summary
The rear panel of the Model 2510 is shown in
. The following abbreviated infor-
mation should be reviewed before operating the instrument.

Input/output connector:
OUTPUT terminals
Source output connections to thermoelectric cooler.
INPUT terminals
Temperature sensor input connections.
Digital I/O port:
ENABLE — DIG I/O
Male DB-9 connector for digital output lines and output enable.
Power module:
Contains the AC line receptacle and the power line fuse.
Trigger link connector:
TRIGGER LINK
8-pin micro-DIN connector for sending and receiving trigger pulses. (Not
currently implemented).
RS-232 connector:
RS-232
Connector for RS-232 remote operation. Use a straight through (not null
modem) DB-9 cable such as a Keithley Model 7009-5.
GPIB connector:
IEEE-488 INTERFACE Connector for GPIB remote operation. Use a shielded cable (Model 7007-1
or 7007-2).
Ground screw:
Allows easy access to chassis ground.
Fan:
Internal fan turns on when the internal temperature reaches 50°C. Keep ventilation slots free of obstruc-
tions to avoid overheating.
